Snow days are happening more and more right now so I thought it would be a great time to list some great things to do around the city with or without kids!!
Skating on the Rideau Canal Skateway: The Rideau Canal Skateway is the world's largest naturally frozen ice rink, and it's a must-do activity on a snowy day in Ottawa. Strap on your skates and glide along the 7.8 km of ice, taking in the stunning views of downtown Ottawa.
Snowshoeing or cross-country skiing in Gatineau Park: Gatineau Park is a winter wonderland, and there are plenty of trails for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Take in the beauty of the park's frozen lakes, forests, and hills while getting some exercise.
Snow tubing at Camp Fortune: If you're looking for a fun and exhilarating activity, head to Camp Fortune for some snow tubing. The hill is groomed for tubing and the staff is available to help you out.
Winterlude Festival: The annual Winterlude Festival takes place in February, and it's a great way to experience the best of Ottawa's winter culture. The festival features ice sculptures, ice-carving competitions, and live music and entertainment.
Visit the Canadian Museum of History: If you're looking for something indoor to do, the Canadian Museum of History is a great option.
