KRISTY MORRISON OF CENTURY 21 SYNERGY BROKERAGE & CONTEST (THE “CONTEST”) WILL BE CONDUCTED IN OTTAWA ONTARIO (EXCLUDING ALL PROVINCES OUTSIDE OF ONTARIO) AND SHALL BE SUBJECT TO, AND EVALUATED ACCORDING TO, APPLICABLE CANADIAN LAW. NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY. PARTICIPANTS MUST BE OF THE AGE OF MAJORITY IN THEIR PROVINCE OR TERRITORY OF RESIDENCE OR OLDER AT THE TIME OF ENTRY. VOID IN WHOLE OR PART WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. ENTRY IN THIS CONTEST CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE CONTEST RULES (THE “CONTEST RULES”).

References to “Sponsor” shall mean Kristy Morrison a Ottawa Ontario Realtor limited by guarantee, its member firms and their respective subsidiaries and affiliates (including Century 21 Synergy Inc, Century 21 Canada), their predecessors, successors and assignees, and all partners, principals, members, owners, directors, employees, subcontractors and agents of all such entities.

1. HOW TO PARTICIPATE

1.1 Eligibility: To be eligible for this Contest, you (“Entrant”) must:

• a) be a legal resident of any Canadian province.

• b) be of the age of majority in Canada or older at the time of entry; and 

• c) become a client of Kristy Morrison in 2023. (A client is someone who buys or sells real estate.)

• d) OR be a referring person of a client to Kristy Morrison this year. 

• e) referral must be located in the area Kristy is licensed to transact in - Ottawa Real Estate Board area consisting of Renfrew in the west to Alfred in the East, following the Ottawa River & south to Long Sault. If you're unsure -send them my way and I'll let you know.

1.2 Non-Eligibility: 

• a) Employees of Century 21 Canada; 

• b) Members of the immediate family (brothers, sisters, children, father, mother, spouse) of the individuals outlined in 1.2 a) 

• c) Household members of any of the of the parties listed above.

• d) Residents of Quebec.

Sponsor shall have the right at any time to require proof of identity and/or eligibility to participate in the Contest. Failure to provide such proof may result in disqualification. All personal and other information requested by and supplied to Sponsor for the purpose of the Contest must be truthful, complete, accurate and in no way misleading. Sponsor reserves the right, in their sole discretion, to disqualify any Entrant should such an Entrant at any stage supply information that does not meet these requirements.

1.3 Contest Period & Participation: This CONTEST -Starting on 12:00 a.m., Eastern Time, January 1,2024 to 11:59 p.m., Eastern Time, December31st, 2024 (“Contest Period”), Entrants may participate in the Contest in one of 3 ways by either buying or selling real estate with Kristy Morrison OR refer Kristy Morrison a client that buys or sells with her OR  by mailing an entry to Sponsor as indicated in Section 4.8 of these Contest rules (the “Rules”). The Entrants participating via completion of buying or selling will be automatically entered into the contest. Those who choose to forgo buying, selling or referring a client with Kristy and mail in their entry stand the same chance of winning the Prize as those who fully complete the online survey. NEITHER METHOD OF ENTRY WILL INCREASE OR DIMINISH OR OTHERWISE IMPACT YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING IN THIS CONTEST.

1.4 Contest Entry: Upon completion of a real estate transaction or by mailing in an entry (in accordance with Section 4.8 of these Rules), eligible Entrants will be entered into the Contest for one (1) chance per transaction or referred client to win the Prize (described below). Ballots: Bought a home = 1 ballot, Sold a home = 1 ballot, Referred a client that bought or sold= 1 ballot per client name, Mail In = 1 ballot.

1.5 Contest Entry Restrictions: Entrants are restricted to one (1) entry
(via transaction completed or mail-in entries without purchase) per person. Any excess entries will be invalid for purposes of the Contest draw.

1.6 Awarding of Prize: The Prize will be awarded to the Entrant whose contact information has been given by the Entrant through the buying, selling or referring to Kristy Morrison or indicated on the mail in entry and who has complied with these Rules.

2. PRIZE

2.1 Available Prize: There is one (1) prize available for every 10 entries so multiple names will be drawn to be won by the Prize winner (a “Winner”), consisting of seven (7) nights stay at Villa Serenidad -3 Bed, 3 Bath, villa with private yard & pool in Playa Tambor Costa Rica in a golf -ocean front community. Suitable for up to 6 guests. Valued at approximately CAD $25000 (the "Prize”).

2.2 Prize Acceptance: The Prize must be accepted as awarded. No cash alternatives, substitution or transfers of the Prize will be allowed. The Winner is not entitled to the monetary difference between the actual Prize value and stated approximate Prize value, if any.  The Prize certificate must be picked up by the Winner at Kristy Morrisons Brokerage Century 21 Synergy Realty Inc. located at 2733 Lancaster Rd, Suite 121, Ottawa Ontario within two (2) to four (4) weeks from the date when the Winner’s signed Declaration and Release Form along with the correct answer to a skill testing question is received by Sponsor. The winner acknowledges this prize is accommodations only any additional costs associated with claiming this prize is at the contestants own expense which includes but not limited to the following: flight, transportation, food, excursions, gratuities. ETC.

2.3 Prize Use: The Prize is received in a certificate form & must be redeemed within two (2) years from the date of winning. Ex: Winners -January 2024 the prize must be claimed by January 2026 or prize will be forfeited.

2.4 Odds: Each entry will have a 1/10 chance of winning. 

​

2.5 Prize Draw: The Prize will be awarded by random draw on January 6th, 2024 before 8:00 p.m. in Ottawa, Ontario from ALL eligible Contest entries received during the Contest Period (the “Draw”).

​

2.6 Notification of Selection: The selected Entrant will be contacted by phone or email (using the contact information provided by Entrant on-line or through their mail in entry) at least three (3) times within the fourteen (14) days after the Draw. If the selected Entrant cannot be contacted in that time, another Entrant will be randomly selected and the initial selected Entrant will be disqualified and will have no recourse towards Kristy Morrison, or anyone involved in the Contest. In order to win, the selected Entrant must first correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited, mathematical, skill-testing question to be administered by telephone or email, and he/she/they will be required to sign a standard Declaration and Release Form confirming compliance with the Contest Rules, acceptance of the Prize as awarded and releasing Deloitte Entities from all liability relating to the Contest or Prize. The selected Entrant will have seven (7) days from the date of receipt to return a signed copy of the Declaration and Release Form to Sponsor. If the selected Entrant does not do so within this period of time, another Entrant will be randomly selected and the initial selected Entrant will be disqualified and will have no recourse towards Kristy Morrison, or anyone involved in the Contest.

4. IMPORTANT CONTEST RULES

4.1 Claiming the Prize: Claiming the Prize is subject to verification by Sponsor. Mail in entries made multiple times during the Contest Period are automatically void. All Contest entries which are incomplete, illegible, mutilated, altered, reproduced, forged, irregular or fraudulent in any way or otherwise not in compliance with these Rules are automatically void. Sponsor will be the sole and final reference source in validating a Prize claim.

4.2 Participation: By participating, each eligible Entrant and the selected Winner agree: (a) to be bound by these Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, (b) to release and hold harmless Kristy Morrison, their affiliates, subsidiaries, and independent contractors, and their respective directors, officers, employees, agents and representatives including advertising and promotion agencies, from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damages, cost or expense arising directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, out of participation in the Contest, breach of these Rules, participation in any Contest-related activity or the acceptance, use, or misuse of the Prize, including but not limited to costs, injuries, losses related to personal injuries, death, exposure to the COVID-19 virus, damage to or loss of or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light, or from any and all claims of third parties arising therefrom; (c) to the collection and use of his/her/their personal information by Sponsor for Contest related purposes; (d) to grant Sponsor right’s to the Entrant’s Survey Response in accordance with these Rules; and (e) to answer a skill testing question and sign a Declaration and Release Form if selected as the Winner.

4.3 Sponsors Decisions: The decisions of Sponsor in relation to this Contest will be final and binding on all Entrants.

4.4 Aberrations: Kristy Morrison shall not be responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription or registration of Contest entry information, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, faulty, incomplete, incomprehensible, or erased computer or network transmissions, or any other human or technical error or malfunction, or any injury or damage to Entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Contest, or for late, lost, stolen, postage due, illegible or misdirected entries.

4.5 Rights of Sponsors: Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate, or suspend this Contest, at its sole discretion, in the event of a technical failure, computer virus or bug, unauthorized human intervention, fraud or any other occurrence or cause beyond its control that corrupts or adversely affects the administration, security, fairness or normal operation of the Contest.

4.6 Prize Award. Under no circumstances will Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, and independent contractors, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents, including advertising and promotion agencies be required to award more Prizes than what is indicated in these Rules or award a Prize other than in accordance with these Rules.

​

4.7 No Purchase Necessary. To enter without fully completing a real estate transaction or referring client to transact, an Entrant may hand print their name, address, email address, postal code, and phone number on a plain 3″ x 5″ piece of paper and sign it. Place the entry form in an envelope and mail it with sufficient postage to Attn: Kristy Morrison -C/O Century 21 Synergy. 2733 Lancaster Rd, Suite 121, Ottawa, Ontario, K1B 0A9.  Entries must be postmarked no later than December 16th, 2023 and must be received no later than December 29, 2023. Limit of one (1) entry per envelope with sufficient postage. All mail-in entries will bear the same odds as survey responses received on-line.

4.8 Personal Information: By participating in the Contest, each Entrant: (i) grants to Sponsor, along with rights granted above, the right to use their Personal Information for the purpose of administering the Contest, including but not limited to contacting and announcing the Winner and coordinating the provision of the Prize; (ii) acknowledges that Sponsor may disclose such Personal Information to third-party agents and service providers of Sponsor in connection with any of the activities listed in (i) above.

4.9 Law. The Contest is subject to all Federal, Provincial, and local laws, as well as the rules adopted in view of said laws. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the Rules or the rights and obligations as between the Entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the province of Ontario without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other jurisdiction’s laws.
